Bike Ride signage and a new sponsor

Signs coming along nicely for the Great Selby Bike Ride. This year on cobalt blue to match the logo of our sponsor www.businesscommmunicate.co.uk
They’ll be appearing along the route in good time for all cyclists to know where they are going and where our band of volunteer marshalls will be standing
There’s still time to book on to ride and raise money for St Leonards Hospice, Martin House, Elmet Lions PSA testing and British Heart Foundation via our justgiving link

Here’s the YO1 radio interview

Elmet Lions Paul Croll and John Brettell told the listening public about the Great Selby Bike Ride, its long history, its present organisation and the support it receives from the spectrum of cyclists from keen club riders to individual riders and family members enjoying a more leisurely pace over the two routes.

Can we expect to see you at Barlby High School on Sunday 19th May 2024?

News update

We’re writing to update you on the current situation in respect of the Bike Ride as we have had a couple of hurdles to overcome in respect of how the Bike Ride will operate.

Firstly. Virgin Money Giving, who have in the past processed money donated by event fundraisers such as the Bike Ride’s cyclists and claimed GiftAid has decided to close down in November as their involvement with the London Marathon has finished this year.

Secondly our bank, HSBC, in common with many other High Street banks will no longer accept cash payments into an account from third parties, which method many previous riders have used.

We have resolved these issues by switching to Justgiving on the one hand and suggesting BACS Transfers or Paypal payments on the other.

Our website is now ready to accept entries from riders and to offer simplified online fundraising.

So if you were waiting to sign up just go to our website and follow the instructions.

We look forward to welcoming you to Barlby High School next May 22nd
